   WHO AM I

I am Katlyn.

My motto for life is: "Dream big, travel far, inspire and be inspired."

And I run. A lot.

I was a competitive swimmer growing up. I always ran track to cross-train. It wasn't until I was diagnosed with a vocal cord dysfunction, nixing the exercise induced asthma that we thought I had been battling my whole life, that I started running distances greater than the 2-mile. You have to relax your vocal cords by breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. There is no treatment. This proved difficult for the future of my swimming career, but was something I could control while running. Any athlete has to learn to adapt and evolve in some respect. I ran my first marathon in 2011. I ran my first trail marathon in 2014. I have since run 50K and 50 Mile trail races. In 2015, I added "triathlete" to my repertoire.

I am an outdoor enthusiast and all around adventurer. You name it; I've tried it, or probably want to. Over the years, friends, family, and acquaintances alike have sought advice from me on health, nutrition, training, and overall wellness. I strive to provide inspiration and motivation by simply sharing my love of life, strength, and willpower. This is my journey. I hope to inspire YOU.
